A wood stone fan helps in the even distribution of heat throughout the varied rooms of the house, and in that way is one of the most convenient devices to invest in for the winter months. Peruse through the following sections to learn more about this device and how it is used.
Winter is almost here, and it's time to install an effective heating system for the house to keep it warm and cozy.
If you want something that is cost-effective, heats the room well enough, is eco-friendly, and not messy, then the best option is to go in for is a wood stove. In order to enhance the efficiency of the stove, you can use a wooden stove fan. Details about the same will follow in the sections below.

Definition and Types

In case you have installed the wood stove with the intention of heating just one room, then installing the fan is not needed. But, on the other hand, if you want the heat from the wood stove to evenly spread to the other rooms as well, then it's best that you install a fan.
These stoves are known for giving off radiant heat, which is good enough for those sitting right next to the fan, but it does not reach those who are further away from the stove. Which is why it is important that the fan is installed.
Some of these fans are self-powered, while some run on electricity. Of these, the self-powered ones are more popular because they are cost-effective, they make use of the heat that is produced by the stove, and have a lesser tendency of breaking down.

Advantages

The fan helps in evenly distributing the heat over a wider area, that would have otherwise been concentrated in a single area. This it does by boosting the air circulation.
The amount of fuel consumed by a pellet stove without a fan blower, is more than that consumed by a wooden stove which has a fan fitting.
A warm fire at the fireplace seems like a great idea, but most of the heat that could have been put to great use to heat the room, escapes from the chimney. This, however, is not the case with a wooden stove that has a fan. The fan diverts this heat and utilizes it to heat the entire room, equally.
While buying the fan, there are certain things that you need to keep in mind--make sure that the fan does not create noise. Also take care that the material with which this fan has been constructed can withstand high temperatures and that it will not corrode. If these things are not looked into, then the fans might cause problems in the future.
