Wheat Paste Recipe

There were no glue or smart adhesive products in the olden days, but still they were able to paste and fix things properly. These pastes were made at home with the help of vegetable starch, water and sugar. Wheat paste is one of those old adhesives, which is still popular among the people.

• Wheat flour
• Sauce pan
• Sugar
• Measuring cup
• Wooden spoon

• Take 1 cup of water and put it in the sauce pan. Keep it on the stove and let it boil.
• In the mean time take 3 tablespoons of wheat flour in a separate cup and add cold water. The quantity of water should be just enough to make a thin paste. Mix the flour properly and whisk out all the lumps.

• Once the cold paste is formed, slowly pour it in hot water and keep on stirring it. Empty the entire mixture in the hot water and mix it properly. Bring it to boil and keep boiling till it becomes little thick.

• As the mixture gets thickened, add 1 tablespoon of sugar and let it dissolve completely.
• Once the sugar gets mixed properly, just remove the sauce pan from the stove and let it cool down. Empty it in a ketchup squirt container or jar and use it as per your requirement.
