• Take a handful of baking soda and pour over the dried stain.
• Then mix 3% hydrogen peroxide with some detergent (about 1 tsp.).
• Be careful about the type of dish washing liquid you use. Make sure it is not caustic.
• Next, pour this mixture over the baking soda.

• Now, work this paste into the carpet with your fingers or a brush.
• Let dry and then use a vacuum cleaner on it.

• It might sound pretty unconventional, but take some toothpaste (any brand will do) and put it on the stain after diluting it with warm water.
• Now, take an old toothbrush and scrub the area carefully.

• Take these granules and pour them over the wet stain (they work best on a wet stain).
• Let sit for sometime for it to soak in all the liquid.
• These will not only remove the odor, but also correct the discoloration (if any).

• Take some biological washing powder and mix it in lukewarm water to turn into paste.
• Take this paste and rub it over the spot.
• Let sit for sometime.
• Then, blot with paper towels and vacuum dry.
